An attractive two-volume set, bound together in one volume; bound in half calf and marbled paper-covered boards, spine with elaborate gilt tooling and gilt title on black morocco label; binding remains sound and firm, a little rubbing and wear to extremities; armorial bookplate to front pastedown (Henry Birkbeck); text-block remains sound and firm, foxing/browning to frontispieces and additional title-pages, pages mostly very clean throughout, just a little light foxing in places.
