This is a 5V+12V dual output PoE HAT for Raspberry Pi 4B and 3B+, with a maximum output power of 26Watt when combined with 802.3at standard PoE switch (or 48V~57V Passive PoE switch/injector). According to the adaptive current output of devices requirements,it can be :(Typical:12V 0.9A+DC5V 3A), (12V1.15V2.5A), (12v1.3a 5V2A) or (12V2.2A 5V0A)... Depends on your devices requirement.


This POE HAT can power Raspberry Pi 3B+ as well as another 12V device, such as a 12V LCD screen or a 3.5in USB hard drive, as long as the power of this 12V device is not high enough to affect Raspberry Pi. But the premise is that you need to use a POE switch that supports IEEE802.3AT.

When using the 802.3af standard POE switch,the maximum output power is about 14Watt, such as:(5V2.5A+12V0A),(5V2A+12V0.3A),(5V1.5A+12V0.5A) or (5V1A+12V0.75A). the maximum output power is only 12.5Watt If only output 5V. After testing,it can not be connected to the 3.5in USB hard drive when working with 802.3af standard POE switch,It will cause the POE switch to cut off the power output due to overload. However, the external 12V LCD screen seems to work normally. For example, the 13in LCD screen on the item picture, the power requirement on this LCD screen manual is 12V1A (for reference only, some LCD screens may consume more power).

In addition, the official website FAQs mentions that the Typical bare-board active current consumption of Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ is 0.5a (2.5watt). However, it is recommended to reserve at least 1A(5watt) for Raspberry Pi when there is no external devices (usb,camera,spi, etc.). Since the system consumes a lot of power when booting, Max. 0.75A(3.75watt) when referring to boot in FAQs.
