CUSTOM, ONE-OF-A-KIND 120-year-old Antique Rochester Optical Co. Magazine Cyclone No. 5, c. 1899 (and unlike the No. 4’s, has no identifying S/N), completely refinished with a new Fumed Oak veneer covering. Made by Rochester Optical Co. in 1899 after Western Camera Mfg. Co. became a part of Rochester in 1899, the larger No. 5 plate box camera took 4” x 5” exposures, and this camera has a partial complement of 4 plates included. Both viewfinders are crystal clear, T/I selector works, lens is clear, shutter is operational. Customized with a Fumed Oak veneer and polished hardware, this camera is a one-of-a-kind creation, perfect for display in any camera collection or gift for the avid camera collector!
