Rare 14 k engraving shield  handle gold presentation  walking stick  dated 1872  This feels great in your hand and can be your one fine cane for use as a cane or a stand out in your cane stand   .  Beautiful  gold presentation  cane ,  .The cane is  36.5 + . The handle is rubbed with some small dings . the top presentation is rubbed . on the side is 1872 the rest is rubbed  .      . 14 k gold ( tested ) engraving shield ( thick )   ,the rest is 14 k rolled gold plate   . Heavy,  hand chasing  . Shinny as new  . No wear through to gold . Probably heavy rolled  gold over another metal    . No repairs , no defects . Deeply engraved  and feels great in your hand very  sturdy   . Shaft  is  ebonized hard wood  that that is still shiny with a little age patina and no cracks .   , The ferrule is two part  brass and iron with very old style      .
