This lot presents lot of two 18th C. French Books By Bernard de Montfaucon, W. Copper Engravings, 17" X 11".
• Details: L’Antiquite Expliquee Et Representee en Figures Tome Quatrieme & Supplement au Livre (Translation in English: Antiquity Explained And Represented In Figures Volume Four & Supplement To The Book) by Bernard de Montfaucon, published by F. Delaulne. Each book is stamped by the Natural History Society Torquay. Date of publication is 1719 & 1724 respectively. These are 1st edition. There are dozens of beautiful copper plate engravings of Statutes (including one of Alexander the Great), monuments, vases, coins seals and artifacts throughout each book. In total there are 15 books and 2 supplements; these two books are the most collectible.
• Condition: wear and tear and damage as pictured. However, most of the copper plate engravings are in tact and in good to very good condition. Due to the 10 photo limitation only 10 photos have been uploaded; however, if you are interested we will provide additional photos upon request.
• Cover Size: each cover book is approximately 17 1/4" x 11 1/4".

Exceptions to “no return” policy:
1) item description does not substantially match the item. If a return request is accepted, we will refund the amount of item(s) that was paid (ie not shipping) once the item is returned. Buyer must provide tracking number and pay return shipping. Fees may apply.
2) item is broken/ damaged in transit. Items damaged during transit will be refunded upon timely notification (maximum 7 days from tracked delivery of the item) and receipt of photographic evidence of damage, including photos of the packing. Buyer agrees to keep the damaged item and packing for at least 14 days and present it to a local carrier’s office if requested to aid in the processing of an insurance claim. Fees may apply.
