Many old style Kenmore, “Super High” machines utilized a unique pressure foot lever located on the back of the presser foot bar.
However new style pressure feet are no longer available for this system. This was an excellent Kenmore machine and should not be discarded for that reason. That is why our technicians have devised a conversion kit; ...after all ~we are dedicated to the conservation of all things useful.
You can convert your Kenmore S/H to accept new style Snap-on presser feet and still use the old style feet that came with your machine.
You will be using the conversion screw that came with your kit. ( see above photo ).
The new style snap on pressure feet are the most common in the market place today , they are most commonly used with some Brother, Singer, White and many other popular brands.
This system is sometimes referred to as “Type B”

For screw-on feet simply remove the snap-on shank and snap-on foot but keep the conversation adapter and conversion screw that came with the kit in place, now you can use feet such as ; walking foot and quilters free motion foot , ruffler attachment and other screw on feet. ( see above photo ).

The Walking Foot is a special foot designed specifically for the “Kenmore Conversion Kit”.
Both items are listed on eBay and both items are sold separately. The Walking Foot is designed to feed your top layer of fabric in unison with the bottom layer: GREAT FOR QUILTERS .
SPECIAL KIT. # 4, contains 3 spacers to be used for models that sew a straight stitch in the LEFT NEEDLE POSITION . For some presser feet this is not important, other presser feet especially feet requiring a straight stitch you can can add a spacer ( up to 3 ), to more accurately position the foot to the needle.
The WALKING FOOT KIT ( sold separately ) also comes with a “ type B attachment screw” this screw allows your machine to use the dedicated WALKING FOOT and FREE MOTION FOOT available on our eBay listing under item #323935066909. On some models type “B” attachment screw will not be compatible nor will it be necessary.
After the conversion your machine is also now ready to accept: low vertical screw-on feet ( like used on many older models ) oh... did I mention you can still use the original feet that came with your machine 🤗.
Before powering-up make sure everything is lined-up.
