The story of Armand Nicolet begins around 1875 in Tramelan, Switzerland, a little town in the Bernese Jura. Armand Nicolet, son of a watchmaker, after a brilliant apprenticeship set up his “Atelier d’Horlogerie”. In 1902 he affirmed his technical maturity by producing a pocket watch with “guilloché”rose gold case, enamel dial, single button chronographic function, complete calendar, repeating hours, quarter hours and minutes. During those years, Armand Nicolet also refined his technical skills by doing important studies on design that would influence his future work. His watches, masterpieces of pure beauty, quality and precision are still to be found in Nicolet SA’s museum and continue to arouse interest among international collectors. 

When he died in 1939, his son Willy assumed the reins of the family enterprise and developed it to be one of the most important production facilities in the region. In 1987 Willy Nicolet met by chance Mr. Rolando Braga, an Italian entrepreneur active in the watch field. The encounter proved to be strategic and was the beginning of the cooperation between the extraordinary Swiss technical skills and Italian creativity.

MOVEMENT FROM 1957

The L09 features a wonderful manual wind mechanical movement called AN0711A. It is a movement created with original components from 1957 that has subsequently been modified by our manufacturing process and gifted with newly evolved technological characteristics. The movement has been integrated with a shock absorber system. The upgrade makes this movement a perfect mix of great Swiss mechanical tradition with the most modern techniques of watch-making. The ticking produced by 18,000 vibrations per hour creates a magic and charming sound that is typical of traditional mechanical timepieces. The 18 jewel calibre has been finely decorated with “Cote de Genève” finishing and embellished by “Perlage”. Through the sapphire glass it’s possible to admire the beautiful gold engravings reporting the series number of every watch and the polished blue screws. They all stand out in the splendid finishing of the rhodium plating of the plate and of the bridges.

Title and risk is deemed to pass to the buyer once LGC delivers the goods to the shipping or transport company. The listing of all LGC items occurs in the Province of Saskatchewan and as such the buyer accepts that the contract is deemed to have been accepted and formed in the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada.

Product Warranty Information 60 Day LGC Return Warranty (Manufacturer's Warranty May Not be Transferable)

LGC does not guarantee this product has manufacturer warranty. This product has LGC 60 Day Return Warranty on product functionality from the date of purchase. If you have questions regarding our warranty please call 1.888.LGCAN.75.

LGC warrants to the original purchaser that products will be free from defects in material and workmanship that affect product functionality for the 60 Day Warranty Period. LGC warranty does not include a "warranty of fitness for a particular purpose". If defects, cosmetic or otherwise, are disclosed in the listing, no warranty is provided. If the purchaser encounters a defect within the 60 Day Warranty Period, LGC will (at its option) issue a refund, repair or replace the product at no charge to the purchaser provided the product has been returned to LGC at its head office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. LGC will not be responsible for carriage and transportation costs of the product return. Products being returned must be properly packaged in the original LGC packaging or, in the alternative, suitable packaging approved by LGC prior to shipping. To obtain warranty the purchaser must first contact LGC to obtain a "Return Material Authorization (RMA) number." Upon return the purchaser must note the RMA number and, in the case of international returns, must make proper notations on the commercial invoice indicating the product is being "returned for repair". LGC's 60 Day Return Warranty does not include; i) normal wear and tear ii) abuse, unreasonable use, mistreatment, or neglect iii) damage caused during use  iv) damage caused by the use of ancillary equipment v) damage caused by modification or repair not authorized by LGC vi) damage caused by improper or improperly used packaging vii) damage caused by lack of protection by way of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) viii) products that are determined to be stolen. LGC will only be responsible for refunding the purchase cost of the product and is not responsible for special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty, or under any other legal theory.

Return Policy

Purchased items may be returned to LGC within 30 days from the date of purchase. Purchasers must obtain an RMA number prior to the return of a purchased product. LGC will not be responsible for carriage and transportation costs of the product return. Original shipping and handling costs are not refundable to the purchaser. Products being returned must be properly packaged in the original LGC packaging or, in the alternative, suitable packaging approved by LGC prior to shipping. Purchasers will be charged a 15% restocking fee for non-defective product returns.
