Very old, hard case, inherited piece, as is,  pictures are of what you'll get.  Our relative served in WWII but we are not sure this case was used then,  just that it is very old. The hard case is in tact,  sturdy, however the skin has seen some age wear, see the closeups. The inside of the case has two compartments, and the lining is in tact,  not torn but does have normal dirty areas attributable to a weapon taken in and out often for use.  The opening piece closes nice and tight however the leather strap that holds the end cap is worn and split but again the end cap fits nice and snug. The shoulder strap is long however has been fastened to a short length so the case could be carried by the handle instead. The handle is nice and sturdy.  The numbers stamped into the leather and cap are as follows: R 6/45 32
