This is a super easy and practical modification for your ND MX-5. Installation is simple and takes 5 minutes. It's a direct bolt-on addition that sits in your left-hand-side foot well ('passenger side' for Japan, UK and Australia). If the LHS seat is the 'driver side' for your local market, please check your local legislation before purchasing and installing to make sure driver side foot well accessories are allowed in your vehicle.
The bracket also offers you a choice of multiple mounting positions and angles for your extinguisher so flexible slider adjustment for the passenger seat is maintained.
The bracket will come with 2 sets of high-tensile M5 bolts and nuts with washers for mating with your extinguisher rack/cage*, to support compliance with CAMS requirements.
*The extinguisher & rack (not included) shown in the photos are for demo only. A rack/cage featuring a security clasp should be used. For more information regarding CAMS compliance for fire extinguishers, refer 2022 CAMS manual, Schedule H.

Installation Instructions
1: Install your fire extinguisher rack onto the bracket with the supplied M5 bolts, nuts and washers. The spine of your extinguisher rack sits on top of the bracket. Place the supplied M5 nuts and washers underneath the bracket, then drive the supplied M5 bolt from above through the holes of your extinguisher rack. Check the extinguisher rack's position and tighten M5 bolts and nuts.
2: Remove the 2 front E-Torx E12 bolts of the LHS seat rail. There's no need to remove the seat rail or seat rail brackets.
3. Align your extinguisher bracket's mounting holes in place, over the seat rail brackets with the M10 washers sandwiched in between. Reinsert the E-Torx E12 bolts and tighten.
