 VINTAGE / GE - General Electric / Model: "MPR" ("MASTR Personal Radio") / FM Band: UHF - 435-470 MHz  (Not one of the otherwise oddball UHF splits which are often listed for sale without further explanation that they may be unlicenseable to most of us.) / The "RPT" (Repeater), and "DIR" (Direct) FREQUENCY Selectior Toggle Switch indicates those 2 - transmit frequency positions. There is also a "CG" (Channel Guard - ON) & "OFF" Toggle Switch, enabling to block the hearing of other transmissions on the frequency, other than your units as they already contain the same silent tone. Motorola's  version of this CTCSS tone feature is known as "PL" (Private Line). In relation to that feature, there is a Red L.E.D. Reception Indicator Light, a custom ordered option which is present on the specific radio in the first photo, unsure if it's present or operational on any of the four additional radios. With that feature, when your "CG" switch is in the on position you can be aware when others on the frequency are transmitting, thereby enabling you to avoid transmitting at that moment, interfering, and competing with their transmissions.

 After attaching a working battery which is not-included, we briefly tried the radios basic features including; its already installed Channel Elements, and the presently programmed Channel Guard "CG" tone - option switched ON, well as "OFF". Based upon those efforts when trying two units together to both Transmit and Receive on various selected switch positions, those results proved to be EXCEPTIONALLY LOUD, and CLEAR, at the time! We are saying it that way since it is unkown if this radio will or won't work later upon arrival or upon extensive use, nor do we know if it is truly physically complete or not.
