Allieva dell'artista olandese Willem Roelofs (Amsterdam, 10 marzo 1822 – Berchem, 12 maggio 1897), è stata un pittrice, acquerellista, incisore, litografa e disegnatrice olandese. Roelofs è stato uno dei precursori dell'arte revival olandese, dopo il classicismo romantico dell'inizio del 19 ° secolo, che ha portato alla formazione della scuola dell'Aia.
Student of the Dutch artist Willem Roelofs (10 March 1822, Amsterdam – 12 May 1897, Berchem) was a Dutch painter, water-colourist, etcher, lithographer and draughtsman. Roelofs was one of the forerunners of the Dutch Revival art, after the Romantic Classicism of the beginning of the 19th century, which led to the formation of The Hague school. In 1847, he was involved in the establishment of the artists society “The Hague Pulchri Studio”. In 1847, he left The Hague rather suddenly and went to live in Brussels where he remained until 1887. Willem Roelofs (Amsterdam, 10 marzo 1822 - Berchem, 12 maggio 1897) è stato un pittore, acquarellista, incisore, litografo e disegnatore olandese. Roelofs fu uno dei precursori dell'arte rinascimentale olandese, dopo il classicismo romantico degli inizi del XIX secolo, che portò alla formazione della scuola dell'Aia. Nel 1847 fu coinvolto nella fondazione della società di artisti "The Hague Pulchri Studio". Nel 1847, lasciò l'Aia piuttosto improvvisamente e andò a vivere a Bruxelles dove rimase fino al 1887.
