I was told by another ebayer that this may be for 1914? Locomobile?... GRAY & DAVIS? Octagonal BRASS COWL LIGHT???.......Pierce Arrow Stutz Cord??  It measures 6" wide.  I cannot find any markings.  The condition is very good ...minor dings and dents....not sure if glass is original but it is in good condition...as is the beveled sidemarker lens.
