Up for auction is this vintage 9’ graphite two-piece power rod custom made for me by Wayne Hanson who at the time was one of the best rod builders around.  Wayne named this rod “Stamp Equalizer” and 9’ Spring Drift which is nicely written on the rod as well as the No. 8401073 and another number 88708 and his name W.E. Hanson.  I purchased this rod about 40 years ago for river fishing for large Chinook (King) salmon on the Stamp River here on Vancouver Island.  The female ferule has been re-enforced and all ten guides (2 on the bottom section and 8 on the top section) are bridge guides with a ceramic insert including the tip guide.  The handle including the butt box is 23” long with 3” of cork below the reel seat and 13” of cork above the reel seat.  It has a large 5” Varmac NF2X reel seat to handle a long reel foot if needed, a Hardy Bros. butt box, and also has a hook keeper.  This is a very powerful rod that will handle large Chinook (King) salmon, Sailfish, Tarpon, heavy bottom fish, etc.  It comes in padded rod bag and I will carefully package it in a sturdy tube for shipping.  It is in excellent condition throughout.  E-mail me with any questions.

Buyer to pay all shipping, handling and insurance charges which will be $30 for Canada or the U.S.A.  The parcel will be carefully packaged and will have a Canada Post tracking number.  All other countries contact me for a shipping cost.
