Item Description
This is a sealed, untouched display of 36 Booster Packs Series U Universe Edition to build out your Galactic Empires decks or just to collect the cards for their incredible Sci Fi Art. Features random Hologram Action Effects plus Night Glo Visuals. 14 cards per booster pack. Universe Edition is a combination of cards of the older editions, mostly Primary and New Empires, with a few Powers of the Mind and Time Gates. About 76 cards are unique to Universe Edition. 128 card come from New Empires, 309 from Primary Edition, 22 from Powers of the Mind, 30 from Time Gates. The rulebook was also updated and improved. The Starter decks of the Universe Edition (sold separately) are a vast improvement over the older A, B and C decks. Each of the Universe Starters contains 100 cards based on one of the Empires with a new rulebook and is a good way to start the game.

This listing is for 1 sealed display of the Universe Edition.

Galactic Empires was one of the "first wave" of collectible card games to come out on the heels of Magic: The Gathering's success. Produced by Companion Games, the first cards were released in August, 1994, and can be difficult to find; however, excepting a few misprints, they were all reprinted in Series II Primary Edition released in December, 1994. A large number of expansions and a revised core set (Series U Universe Edition) were released over the following 2 years; this ended abruptly when Companion Games filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in May 1997. Carl Schulte, the spokesman for the game, hoped Component Game Systems would have purchased Companion Games and continue the game.

Over 3000 cards were printed altogether, perhaps more than any other collectible card game of the era. These included several hundred promotional cards, some of which can be nearly impossible to track down today. By the time of the game's demise, at least 40 different empires (and 16 distinct "tribes" of one empire, the Indirigan Nomads) had been printed in varying numbers and levels of playability.

Game play
As with all collectible card games, every player puts together his or her own deck. In Galactic Empires, each player takes the role of the leader of a "sector" of a galactic empire. The object of the game is to defend one's Sector HQ while destroying the other players' Sector HQs. There are a variety of card types, the principal ones being resource-providing terrain (mostly planets and moons) and resource-consuming ships, which can deal damage to opposing ships, terrain, and Sector HQs (and a variety of other card types). Each empire had its own unique trait, usually a weapon; there were also several "shipless" empires, for instance the Space Dragons and the Time Knights, that damaged and defended using other means.

Sets and expansions were in English. A German version of Series II Primary Edition was released at about the same time as its English-language counterpart, but with fewer cards.

The set sizes in the table below have been compiled from checklists on the Internet and may be inaccurate. Many of the sets contain cards that are identical except for artwork and/or flavour text; for most sets these have been counted as separate cards. An exception was made for Series VIII, which has 100 distinct cards, among which 23 have 4 versions, 1 has 3 versions, and 1 has 2 versions, all but one of which have the same artwork and slightly different flavour text; so the die-hard collector would count 172 different cards. Some sets have cards for empires other than those listed, but not enough such to play these empires from this set alone.

We specialize in statues and figurines based on popular videogames like Zelda, SuperMario, Sonic, Dark Souls and many others. We also have a large range of figures and toys based on the popular Manga series from the 70s  Grendizer (Goldorak) and MazingerZ. And finally we carry a large selection of popular and hard-to-find boardgames.

We guarantee 100% satisfaction, If you are not happy with your purchase we offer free returns. All our products are 100% genuine, licensed and purchased from the manufacturer directly. No fakes. Certificates of authenticity are always included if they are part of the statue. Please also read the thousands of positive feedbacks and reviews left by our customers, many of which are repeat customers.

We ship 99% of the time within 24 hours. In many cases we allow free local pickups. However, other than a boardgaming store, we do not have physical stores, but rather work with 3rd party fulfillment centers, that do allow pickups for statues. If you are in the Central Florida region we can arrange for you to pick up boardgames locally.

Payment

When you buy an item from us, payment is due immediately. Ebay does not allow for 'payment plans' or 'split payments' (yet)

That said, we can wait a few days if that helps, but more than 3-4 days is not possible.

If you are looking for credit the only option right now that I am aware of is a payment plan offered by Paypal (depending on your credit also) or your credit card itself.

Shipping

We pride ourselves on our fast shipping times, usually 24 hours (1 working day) after you place your order. Tracking is updated in your ebay purchase order automatically, so you can follow your item on its journey to you. If you do not see movement of your item within 2 days please let us know right away and we'll investigate.

Domestically we use USPS, UPS or Fedex at our discretion. USPS is a Priority Service and Fedex and UPS are normally Ground services, although you can opt to upgrade those to Priority or Express services. To see the shipping cost to your location click on 'see details' in the listing.

If you have a PO Box, you can only use USPS. UPS and Fedex do not deliver to PO Boxes.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Ebay currently uses the ebay International shipping program (eIs) but a lot of the statues are excluded from the program due to the size of the boxes. In many cases I can still ship them with UPS but the cost of shipping has to be determined on an individual basis. Each statue and each country are different. If you are trying to purchase an item and your country is not on the shipping list, send me an email and I can calculate it for you.

As an alternative to this what seems to work for a lot of international buyers is the use of a freight forwarder, such as Planet Express, Parcel Monkey, Aramex or MyUS. There are many such companies in the USA. We would ship to the local drop point (domestic) of your freight forwarder and they would handle the international part of it. Depending on the item you can choose a drop point close to our warehouse in Long Beach, CA (zip 90805), Houton, TX (zip 77054) or Clermont, FL (zip 34711). In those cases, the domestic cost of the shipment would be very low.

Also, you can clear the item through customs yourself.

If you are interested in this, please contact the freight forwarder of your choice and open an account with them. They will provide you with a US shipping address for all your purchases as well as shipping rates.

Please send us an email if you need to know the weight and dimensions of an item.

What is the status of my shipment?

You can track each individual item on ebay.com. Go to 'My eBay' and then click on 'Purchase History' and each item will list a tracking number which if you click it will show the latest known status.

Can I change my address after I placed the order?

Because of ebay regulalations I can only ship it to the address you used during check out. If that is not a good address I will have to cancel the transaction and refund the money and you will have to repurchase the item again and use the correct address this time.

I am not home when Fedex/UPS normally delivers the items. Can you change the address or redirect it to a Fedex store?

The Fedex/UPS account I use belongs to Ebay so I cannot change anything relating to the shipments. After 3 failed delivery attempts Fedex/UPS will hold the item in its local hub for up to 10 days before returning it. You can call the local hub and make arrangements to pick up the item during that period.

Do you offer combined shipping on multiple items?

Yes we do combine shipping. Just add all items to your cart and click 'Request Total from Seller' and "Comnmit to Buy". This does not always work on the ebay mobile app. In case it does not work there, please try it on a pc. After I receive the request I will send an invoice with the total combined shipping charges. Then you can pay. If you do not like the deal I will cancel it without a problem. This is the most efficient way to do it.

As for statues due to their size I cannot combine those in 1 package. The box would also be too big and heavy and it would actually increase the risk of damage as these large boxes are difficult to handle. Thanks for your understanding.

My item is lost in transit, can you help?

Rarely items get lost, but if it takes too long shoot us a message. Also check with your neighbors or front office to see if the item was accidentally delivered there. We can put in an inquiry with the shipper to see if they can locate the item. All items are covered 100% against loss and damage in transit.

I would like to pick up my item, what do I do?

Other than the gaming store in Clermont, we do not have physical stores. We work with 3rd party warehouses in Long Beach, CA and Sturtevant, WI and they do allow pickups. Depending on the item I can arrage for pickups there. And all boardgames (only!) can be picked up in Clermont, FL. If you are interested in a Local Pickup and the item does not have this option available in the shipping section of the listing, let me know and I will fix it.

After the purchase you will be directed to the warehouse where you will have to identify yourself with your driver license and you will be handed the statue. You CANNOT inspect it. These are a 3rd party independent warehouses so all they do is they store my inventory and ship it out. They are not part of my company. If there are any issues you will have to communicate with me.

After the purchase please provide the 6-digit code ebay provides you and I will give you instructions on how to collect the item from the warehouse.
