Beautifully crafted Kittinger Furniture Chippendale style drop-leaf side table (Model CW 134). Based on an American antique, circa 1750. Solid mahogany rectangular top with deep "D" form drop leaves. The skirt has shaped details at the narrow ends. Cabriole style legs with a gentle curve culminate in expertly articulated ball-and-claw feet. Two of the legs swing outward to support the drop leaves. Very heavy, solid piece of furniture. The original of this piece is in the library of the Brush-Everard House. Underside has both Kittinger/Williamsburg stamp, as well as a paper label.
In exceptional condition. The finish is extremely clean and even throughout. No nicks, dings, chips or repairs. Two very minor wear marks on the top and edge where it appears that someone tossed their keys onto the table. Not significant but needs to be mentioned as we examine all our pieces under bright lights so as to accurately describe them. No fade to the finish.
Length 33 x width 13 1/2 x height 27 1/2 inches. Width with the leaves 33 1/2 inches.
