Condition: Please zoom in on photos carefully as they are part of the description. I am human and sometimes miss a thing or 2, but I try to mention the book's main faults. all of my books are VERY OLD and have 100+ years of wear to varying degrees
 very good condition.... for their age:
boards - all secure, minimal wear to the paper part of the covers and minimal wear to leather
textblock- pages very secure 
outer joints-  very good 
spine ends- very good for their age
tips- generally good - apx 15 of the 60 tips are worn a bit
inner hinges-  most very good except... both taped in vol. # 15, in this volume you can see the leather spine at the gutter between the ff-end-papers, one of the ffep is ripped at gutter
pages- generally very clean -volume 3 is stained bottom edge frontis and title pages - then it is just a very thin line for apx 20 more pages
writing- no
rips /folds- only a few small rips and some small folds - 4 very small repairs in vol. 5, a bad rip [ repaired with doc tape] and a corner repair to 17, possibly a word missing - both shown in last picture
other: - front cover of volume 15 springs up a bit , gilt on top edge of textblock with wear  to most volumes - all good solid books!

and remember -this book is very old and may have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke] - I have found that dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference! some of my books get sold right away so please consider using this trick before deciding to return it! 
My nose doesn't work like it use to so the old book smell doesn't bother me. 
As far as I can tell -these books do not smell bad
