Item:  Vintage 1960’s silk fabric, Mid-century Modern, abstract art style.  One side of the fabric is slightly darker than the other side, so I assume the lighter side would be the inside or backside depending on what you’re using this for. The box it’s wrapped around is called a reel.  I bought the fabric on this reel but I’m not sure if it’s original to the fabric (the box states “A Blended Fashion Fabric”, but then someone wrote “All Silk” and a price).  I unraveled the fabric to get an idea of how much of it we have here, and it’s around 3 yards long (approximately) by 40 inches wide. I can think of tons of uses for this fabric including draperies or curtains, pillowcases, and clothing such as dresses, ties, skirts, shirts, scarves, etc.  My house windows are about 36 x 30, so I figure the fabric would make around 3 sets of curtains.  If a sofa pillow is about 20 x 20 inches, and you used the fabric sparingly (on just one side), I think around 10 pillows could be made.  The fabric is Atomic or Space Age because of all the abstract circles that could be called planets, moons, asteroids, etc.  It’s also ‘hard edge geometric’ because of the triangles. Whether you use it for drapes, valences, tablecloths or whatever, you’re going to have real eye catching items for a Mid-century Modern interior or personal fashion style.  PLEASE SEE MY OTHER EBAY LISTINGS FOR A NICE SELECTION OF ART, ANTIQUES, AND COLLECTIBLES !!
