Here for your consideration are a pair of Lalique eagle bookends.  Originally designed by Rene Lalique as a hood ornament in the 1920's.  These identical pieces measure 7 1/4 by 5 3/4 inches at the base, with a height of approximately of 4 3/4 inches (including the base).  Each piece is signed "Lalique Frane" on the front edge of the base.  Original "Tete Aigle" stickers on each.  Each bookend has clear rubber feet for protection against wear.  Small fracture (not a repair) in the rear base corner that's about .75 inches wide (see photo 10).  Tiny flea bite at the front center edge of the base of the other bookend.  A few light scratches on the underside of the base.  Each bookend weighs in at just over 6 pounds.  Please review the photos carefully as they are an important part of the description and ask questions.
