Up for sale is a great, colored, original ANTIQUE MAP  - GERMAN TOWNSHIP & LIBERTY TOWNSHIP / ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA.

It measures approximately 27 x 17 inches, including the border area.  On the reverse side are some engravings of places/residences within the county.  

This map is from "AN ILLUSTRATED HISTORICAL ATLAS OF INDIANA" - St. Joseph County, Compiled Drawn & Published from Personal Examinations & Surveys by HIGGINS BELDEN & CO. Chicago - 1875.

Maps this early and showing this much detail are a great piece of history!  

 

Map is generally in Good Condition. Some age related browning and toning and some spotting and stains. The map has some small tears, creases, wrinkles and chips around the edges, but they do not affect the map.  Some creases in the map, as well - tears in the corners.  Some other dings here and there.  

This map would be a great addition to any collection and will look very nice when framed!  

Please note that while I have included a picture of the Title Page of the Atlas that this map was taken from, it is NOT included in the sale, as it is a reference piece to determine authenticity for the other maps.  I would be happy to include a copy if requested.
