This rare 1910s "Dixie Queen" litho knob top tobacco tin, measuring 6 1/8" x 4 3/4", is in good condition with no dents, some rust on the exterior bottom, and some minor age related paint scratches and chips.  This very attractive light green tin with red lettering features a detailed portrait of a woman wearing a wide brimmed hat and a heart shaped choker necklace.  The tobacco was manufactured by the American Tobacco Company, Raleigh-Durham, NC. in Factory 2, District, MD.  The American Tobacco Company purchased the Dixie Queen brand in 1896 from the A. H. Motley Company, Reidsville, NC. for $24,000.
