LOSS OF GEAR SELECTION:

This very common issue is due to the the poor build quality of the gearboxes. As the internal parts wear inside the gearbox there becomes more play in the components and this creates slack in the selector mechanism. The linkages move more at the wrong angles causing the nylon linkages to wear and they come off the ball and socket fitment on the gearbox.

THE SOLUTION:

A simple but engineered solution to prevent the gear linkage from coming away from the gerabox. This nickel plated clip prevents the linkage detaching itself from the gearbox.
