1 - Chico Buarque de Hollanda (1966)

The first of them, released in 1966, opens with great success in his career: the cheerful and naive “A Banda”, winner of the “Brazilian Music Festival” that same year. The exact marriage between melody and lyrics, which appears in all of Chico's work, is present in the 12 tracks of this album, all of his authorship.

2 - Chico Buarque de Hollanda vol. 2 (1967)

After release the soundtrack disc for the play “Morte e Vida Severina”, based on the book by João Cabral de Melo Neto, he presented in 1967 his second authorial disc, “Chico Buarque de Hollanda - Vol.2”. All the songs are written by Chico, and “Lua Cheia” won a melody composed by Toquinho.

3 - Chico Buarque de Hollanda vol. 3 (1968)

In 1968, volume 3 hits stores. In this album, Chico had more partners on the 12 tracks, all signed by him. With Tom Jobim, he wrote “Portrait in Black and White”, and with João Cabral de Melo Neto, “Funeral of a Lavrador”. Singing with him are the group M.P.B.4, in “Roda Viva”, Toquinho, in “Desencontro”, and his sister Cristina, in “Sem Fantasia”. In the last track, “Theme for Death and Life Severina”, there are the RGE Orchestra and Choir.

4 - Chico Buarque de Hollanda na Itália (1968)

The last album that makes up this special box, is “Chico Buarque de Hollanda in Italy”, from 1969. It contains 12 tracks in their Italian versions, made mostly by Bardotti. Among them are “La Banda (A Banda)”, “Rita (A Rita)” and “Carolina (Carolina)”.
