From one of several "Donruss Team Collection" Books. Issued in midyear, each book features 27 players per team. Only five teams were in the series. The A's, Cubs, Mets, Red Sox and Yankees.

Most of the cards are nearly identical reproductions ot the regular issued cards. The fronts match the players' card in the regular Donruss set. But on the back, the TEAM BOOK cards have a 1988 copyright. The regular set cards, initially released before the beginning of the calendar year actually carry a 1987 copyright.
When neatly trimmed, an additional slim white border can distinguish these from the standard size regular cards.

A number of unique cards, with no parallel in the regular set, are numbered as "New". These include rookies Brady Anderson and Walt Weiss. Also with "New" in place of an actual card # are Don Baylor, Dave Parker, Rich Gossage, Lee Smith, and Jack Clark and others who are pictured with new teams.
