Up for sale is a great, colored ANTIQUE MAP TO ILLUSTRATE THE CLIMATOLOGY OF THE DOMINION OF CANADA / CANADA - 1876.

It is a very detailed map, measuring approximately 26 x 17 inches, including the border area. On the reverse side is some information on the climate.  There is a crease down the middle from where it was originally bound.

It is from the "TACKABURY'S ATLAS OF THE DOMINION OF CANADA".  Drawn, Compiled and Edited by H. F. Walling, C.E. - Late Professor of Civil Engineering in Lafayette, College, PA - Published by George N. Tackabury - Montreal, Toronto and London - 1876.

Maps this early and showing this much detail are a great piece of history!

Map is generally in Fair- Condition. There is age related browning and toning and some spots and stains. The map has some small tears and chips around the edges.  There is a 3" tear from the bottom, center border going up the middle crease.  Some other creases and dings here and there.  Creases in the corners.  Some pencil writing.

This map would be a great addition to any collection and will look very nice when framed!

Please note that while I have included a picture of the Title Page of the Atlas that this map was taken from, it is NOT included in the sale, as it is a reference piece to determine authenticity for the other maps.  I would be happy to include a copy if requested.

Please see my store for other great items.
