GMT Games Ancient Civilizations of the Inner Sea

Item Description
DESCRIPTION
Ancient Civilizations of the Inner Sea is an exciting, easy-to-learn, easy-to-play but challenging to master abstract game in which players guide the renowned and legendary civilizations that surged and receded around the shores of the Mediterranean, which the Romans aptly called the Mare Internum, or Inner Sea.

Ancient Civilizations of the Inner Sea is not just one game but many games. From one to six players will take the role of one, two, or even three of these civilizations as they compete across up to four epochs on land and sea, seeking to survive a host of potential natural disasters while making their indelible mark on history through conquest and the building of cities and great Wonders: thereby becoming the dominant power of their age.

A Game for One or Up to Six Players

Extensive Solitaire Rules allow any scenario, including the basic game, to be played by a single player against one or more Non-Player Civilizations (NPCs). The NPC component may be peaceful or hostile, or change their attitude depending on the actions of the player. Historical War Game Scenarios offer particularly aggressive Solitaire system-controlled opponents for those who want to fight to expand or defend their civilization.

A WAR GAME ONLY IF AND WHEN YOU WANT IT TO BE
If you want a War Game, let it begin here -- but if you want a friendly game, this is it!

Ancient Civilizations of the Inner Sea can be all about war - but it does not have to be. It can be a friendly game of exploration, city building, trade, and the construction of up to seven Wonders such as The Great Pyramid. Any player or players, solitaire or in a group of up to six, can make of Ancient Civilizations what they wish or imagine. Competition can be martial or cultural, warlike or friendly, or a combination of both - how the game plays depends entirely on how the player or players want it to play.

All this takes place in a backdrop of natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, and famines inflicted by player or the solitaire game system. Furthermore, a vast array of invading barbarian hordes can descend upon a civilization's lands to wreak woe and havoc upon it.

FOR THOSE WHO WANT A WAR GAME, HOWEVER, THERE IS PLENTY OF WAR TO BE GAMED...

Historical War Game Scenarios are just that -- fun and entertaining scenarios for one or more players that recreate: the Fall of Rome, the wars between the Greeks and Persians, the conquests of Alexander the Great (or the Defense of Persia by Darius against Alexander), the challenges faced by the God-Kings of Egypt, and the campaigns of Hannibal. All of these, and more, can be played Solitaire against Non-Player Civilizations, or between two and, in some cases, three or more players.

Select scenarios recreate the situation at the start of the Punic Wars or the Roman Civil Wars of Caesar vs. Pompey and Anthony and Cleopatra against Octavian. Other game set up options can cram players into half or two-thirds size maps that all but force them to fight. There are even double-civilization and double-sized civilization options for those who want to conquer the world of Ancient Civilizations of the Inner Sea.

Payment

When you buy an item from us, payment is due immediately. Ebay does not allow for 'payment plans' or 'split payments' (yet)

That said, we can wait a few days if that helps, but more than 3-4 days is not possible.

If you are looking for credit the only option right now that I am aware of is a payment plan offered by Paypal (depending on your credit also) or your credit card itself.

Shipping

We pride ourselves on our fast shipping times, usually 24 hours (1 working day) after you place your order. If you do not see movement of your item within 2 days please let us know right away and we'll investigate.

Domestically we use USPS, UPS or Fedex at our discretion. USPS is a Priority Service and Fedex and UPS are normally Ground services, although you can opt to upgrade those to Priority or Express services. To see the shipping cost to your location click on 'see details' in the listing.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS ONLY: I HAVE DECIDED TO SHIP EXCLUSIVELY WITH THE GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM (GSP) FROM NOW ON. THIS MEANS THAT YOU WILL PREPAY ANY AND ALL DUTIES UPON CHECKOUT WHEN YOU BUY THE ITEM AND THERE WILL BE NO MORE SURPRISES.

As an alternative to this what seems to work for a lot of international buyers is the use of a freight forwarder, such as Planet Express, Parcel Monkey, Aramex or MyUS. There are many such companies in the USA. We would ship to the local drop point (domestic) of your freight forwarder and they would handle the international part of it. Depending on the item  you can choose a drop point close to our warehouse in Wisconsin (zip 53177), Long Beach, CA (zip 90810) or Clermont, FL (zip 34711). In those cases the domestic cost of the shipment would be very low.

Also you can clear the item through custom's yourself.

If you are interested in this please contact the freight forwarder of your choice and open an account with them. They will provide you with a US shipping address for all your purchases as well as shipping rates.

Please send us an email if you need to know the weight and dimensions of an item

What is the status of my shipment?

You can track each individual item on ebay.com. Go to 'My eBay' and then click on 'Purchase History' and each item will list a tracking number which if you click it will show the latest known status.

Can I change my address after I placed the order?

Because of ebay regulalations I can only ship it to the address you used during check out. If that is not a good address I will have to cancel the transaction and refund the money and you will have to repurchase the item again and use the correct address this time.

I am not home when Fedex/UPS normally delivers the items. Can you change the address or redirect it to a Fedex store?

The Fedex/UPS account I use belongs to Ebay so I cannot change anything relating to the shipments. After 3 failed delivery attempts Fedex/UPS will hold the item in its local hub for up to 10 days before returning it. You can call the local hub and make arrangements to pick up the item during that period.

Do you offer combined shipping on multiple items?

Yes we do combine shipping. Just add all items to your cart and click 'Request Total from Seller' and "Comnmit to Buy". This does not always work on the ebay mobile app. In case it does not work there, please try it on a pc. After I receive the request I will send an invoice with the total combined shipping charges. Then you can pay. If you do not like the deal I will cancel it without a problem. This is the most efficient way to do it.

As for statues due to their size I cannot combine those in 1 package. The box would also be too big and heavy and it would actually increase the risk of damage as these large boxes are difficult to handle. Thanks for your understanding.

My item is lost in transit, can you help?

Rarely items get lost, but if it takes too long shoot us a message. Also check with your neighbors or front office to see if the item was accidentally delivered there. We can put in an inquiry with the shipper to see if they can locate the item. All items are covered 100% against loss and damage in transit.

I would like to pick up my item, what do I do?

Other than the gaming store in Clermont, we do not have physical stores. We work with 3rd party warehouses in Long Beach, CA and Sturtevant, WI and they do allow pickups. Depending on the item I can arrage for pickups there. And all boardgames (only!) can be picked up in Clermont, FL. If you are interested in a Local Pickup and the item does not have this option available in the shipping section of the listing, let me know and I will fix it.

After the purchase you will be directed to the warehouse where you will have to identify yourself with your driver license and you will be handed the statue. You CANNOT inspect it. These are a 3rd party independent warehouses so all they do is they store my inventory and ship it out. They are not part of my company. If there are any issues you will have to communicate with me.

After the purchase please provide the 6-digit code ebay provides you and I will give you instructions on how to collect the item from the warehouse.

What is the edition number of the statue?

The statues are stored in a 3rd party warehouse in Long Beach, CA or Sturtevant, WI. I am located in Florida. So unfortunately I cannot give you the edition # until after the statue ships.
