100% Pure Sodium Hylaronate, Hyaluronic Acid Powder (Hyaluronan, Hyaluronate, HA) 1 kg (2.2 lb) ANTI-AGING

Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring compound that is found throughout most of the human body. The average 154 pound person has approximately 15 grams of hyaluronic acid in his or her body, with about 5 of those grams being used up and re-synthesized every day.

The properties of hyaluronic acid were first discovered in the 1930's by a scientist named Karl Meyer.  Hyaluronic acid plays a major role in synovial joints, as it makes up a large part of synovial fluid. It is also a big part of tissue repair. It is also often used in a number of medical applications, being extremely useful primarily because it makes up such a significant part of cartilage, skin, and eyeballs (particularly the vitreous humor). Hyaluronic acid plays a very big role in many different cosmetic products. It has an especially important role to epithelial tissue (outer surface of the skin) because it promotes the growth of keratinocytes and retinoic acid (vitamin A metabolite) and it helps collagen synthesis. Hyaluronic acid is also used to treat articular disorders in primarily racing and work horses.

Hyaluronic acid contained in the skin diminishes significantly as humans age.  This is the reason for babies having such soft and delicate skin, and also the reason for wrinkles forming as people age.

Here are just some of the benefits to using this wonderful substance:

Hyaluronic Acid has established itself as a leading ingredient in the cosmetic industry. Because of its tremendous capacity to hold water, adding this active to your creams, lotions, gels or serums will help keep skin moist. Also, hyaluronidase in the skin will break this active down and the sugars released will be used to make new Hyaluronic Acid in our dermis. A truly great active ingredient!

Formulation: 2 gram of Hyaluronic Acid Powder will make 100 grams (3.53 ounces) of a 2% solution.

Directions for topical use: Typically used at 0.1-2%. Hyaluronic acid is not readily soluble in water as it binds water very quickly forming a gel. Hyaluronic acid needs to be carefully sprinkled into the water under constant high-speed stirring (preferably with a hand mixer or vortex mixer). The mixture starts then thickening quickly and becomes a gel. At the point no additional hyaluronic acid can be added as there is no water left for hyaluronic acid to be dissolved in (additional hyaluronic acid would only form lumps).

Directions for ingestion use (as a suggestion only): Use 3/4 tsp. of HA Powder per 2.5 cups H2O . Shake well then refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours. It should now be fully dissolved. Drink 1/4 cup a day.
