It will allow you to use for Canon EOS EF EF-S manual focus lenses on Sony E Mount cameras.

There is no electronic element in the adapter, aperture and focusing must be manually control.

And you can use the maximum aperture of the EF/EF-S lens only.

Note. The adapter has no electronic contacts. 

The photography process will not be the same as with the original lens. Autofocus (AF) is not available. 

All operations must be performed manually by operating the camera settings and lens.

Settings, you have to set the mode photo without a lens. If the camera settings are not changed, there is no focusing.
