We are a Small Charity which began 18 years ago

when we took in some baby cats left behind in a bedsitter.

Word got around and the abandoned or lost cats arrived

Our dream of opening a Guest House Retreat Centre was short lived as the Rooms in this Former Guest House

were very small and with 1 toilet and 1 shower room.

That may have been OK in the Fifties but things have rightly moved on but we still have a Retreat Centre where People come to find perhaps Peace or Spiritual renewal either directed or undirected . They have the First Floor including Toilet and Shower Room all to themselves. There is 1 single Room set aside and our Oratory Chapel is Open but not to the Cats who like to "Party". We also Train Student Priests in the  7 Sacraments. They must like cats who will if door is left open find a way to get into your heart and bed for a cuddle

We are both now Pensioners and with 35 cats who have the freedom of

our Sanctuary apart from the Oratory of The Holy Spirit

We try and find homes for them but we need to

insure that the prospective homes /landlords give permission

our dream of a settled Home with a Garden remain the ideal but

it is difficult to home black cats, elderly cats

and those who need medication on a daily basis

We have 3 cats who cannot eat ordinary

cat food dry or wet and must be hand fed with chicken or ham or fish.

We lost our Vet support after 18 years from a charity that has now Closed

To give you an example it takes 6  large tins of cat food to feed our cats

and a further 2 tins for Hungry Street cats per day

See Photo of these beautiful kittens we have been feeding since July 2019

We are working with the RSPCA to catch them and find good homes for them

However in these difficult times its not that easy

What makes it more sad is that Supermarkets are now

limiting to two tins per day per person

We have appealed to Sainsbury and Lidl but no response  so far

When we can get hold of a Chicken

it seems all the cats has ""Smellavision" as we 40 pair of sad

    expecting something eyes on us

     In the

Spirit of S Francis of Assisi we  have for 20 years at Stanley Park in Blackpool

     fed the Birds. Seagulls .

as well as the Ducks  and Swans.

We never throw any food that any poor animal who is hungry

     can use.

Same goes for those who may be financially stretched

and want to borrow food for their cat or dog or

clothes for their back if we have it they get it

    Why?

because we heed the words of  Ghandi   "Don't talk about religion to a  Hungry Person"
