Degué

A large and very rare pair of authentic 1930 French art deco wall sconces in nickel plated solid brass or bronze holding two beautiful slip shades in frosted moulded-pressed glass by Degué. The Paris based (41 rue de Paradis) company of David Guéron was founded in 1926. Guéron employed the ceramist and designer Edouard Cazaux as his artistic director and head designer. In 1936 production stopped and the company finaly closed down in 1939. This model is represented in the old Degué product catalog as #524. It's a very hard to find and sought after large model slip shade. Both are signed Degué.

The sconces are 39 cm high (15,35") 28,2 cm wide (11,1") and 13,5 cm deep. They are in very good condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the fixtures. The lamps come rewired. For the USA Canada or Japan I will wire them with American candelabra base sockets. For European countries I will place E14 ones.

Free worldwide shipping. The sconces will be shipped with full insurance by priority mail.
