You are bidding on a full repair of your beloved HP Classic and TopCat series of Hewlett Packard Calculator. I have repaired many dozens of them over the last 25 years and every time they are successfully repaired it is so satisfying both to the owners, and me. Each calculator is just amazing and to awaken it, is to bring back the magic they created so many years ago.
I’m good at the following:
1) Removing and replacing the original label (or replacing HP67s with a clone label)
2) Disassembling and cleaning your calculator
3) Cleaning (sanding) each key-switch so that it functions perfectly
4) Insert O-rings (O-rings work perfectly every time, no matter who says tubing is better! )
5) Cleaning the card path and other internals
6) When needed replace the capacitor on the bridge circuit (capacitors wear out over 35 years)
7) Take pictures of your calculator’s inside (sometimes there are little notes with initials?!).
I’m not good at the following:
1) Rebuilding the IC circuits (although I have some “junkyard” parts)
2) Overcoming extensive battery corrosion
3) Making it look new if there is extensive fading, scratches or broken cases (but I’ll try my best! )
Shipping is at your cost and is generally $15 inside the USA and often $28 for international customers. If I fai; t fix the calculator (often internal corrosion problems form leaky battery packs) I charge $25 and return shipping. I think this is a good offer.
I will guarantee my repair for 90 days, and if it seems unfair to you how I fixed it, I will refund your fee via PayPal, but I need to see pictures and explanations of what went wrong and how it is not operating as you want. I need to learn too if I made a mistake. Or... I will re-fix it for you if you want, charging you only for only shipping costs.
I have other auctions for HP calculators: Different battery packs, Orings and instructions, USB charging cables and Stand-alone charging boxes if you search on Ebay for waterhosko
