There are no items or software for sale in this auction. It is a service only, 'to upgrade the ROMS in your Pinball Machine/s', with officially released firmware that would normally reside on the ROMS already installed. No EPROMS are supplied, though we do have a few for sale if you want to contact us.

BEFORE PURCHASING THIS SERVICE YOU MUST CONTACT US WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION

Machine manufacturer and name, plus the current ROM revision/s fitted, and the revision level you would like to upgrade too.  e.g. Williams White Water - L4, upgrade to L5 or LH5 or LH6.  If there are no labels on the ROMS, try searching... how to find pinball rom versions.   Once we have confirmed that the upgrade is possible...

 1.  Purchase any EPROM/S that you may need. WE DO NOT recommended using the EPROM/S already fitted.

 2.  Purchase this service, or multiples if required. (See Notes below).

 3.  If we did not supply the EPROM/S, send yours to the address that will be provided.

 4.  Ensure they are properly ESD packaged as well as being clean and serviceable. We will erase the EPROM/S as part of the service.

We will not attempt to repair or straighten any bent pins. If this is found to be the case, you will have to purchase a new chip. Improperly packaged and/or damaged items will be returned with a refund, less a handling and P&P charge. The EPROM/S will be checked and erased if required. Any failures will be returned with a refund, less a handling and P&P charge.

 5.  After erasing, we will programme with the revision/s requested and verify. Any failures will be returned with a refund, less a handling and P&P charge.

 6.  Correctly programmed EPROM/S will be labelled with the revision details and returned to you.

No responsibility will be accepted for any problems or damage or loss to you, your game, or your location, due to faulty EPROM/S, or the software programmed on them. Nor will any responsibility be accepted for any improper use or improper installation of the EPROM/S. All devices are used and installed at your own risk. Our warranty will only cover the devices we may sell. It does not cover damage to you, your game or your location, or any loss of profits or use. You assume full responsibility for any problems that may occur when installing the EPROM/S.

Returns & Refunds

If you suspect an EPROM is faulty, return it to us, (properly packaged), for testing. We will...

 1.  Check there is no damage or failure due to incorrect installation,  (damaged pins or pin failure on 'read'). If this has occurred, the device will be returned, subject to a handling and P&P charge.

 2.  Check that it is programmed and verified correctly. If all tests are OK, the device will be returned subject to a handling and P&P charge.

An email will be sent stating the handling and P&P costs that will need to be paid prior to the device being returned.

If the failure is due to a fault on our part, we will replace and resend another device free of charge. We will not replace or send replacement units free of charge that have been damaged and returned to us as defective (all EPROMS are fully tested before posting).

A full refund (including P&P will be made if the original chip is returned within 14 days and is found to be defective due to a fault of ours.

No refund will be given if returned units are not defective (see Returns & Refunds above).

Whilst the above may seem inconvenient, nearly 99% of all suspected ‘failed’ EPROMS that are returned, turn out to be OK. The problems are generally related to poor installation, or bad handling of connectors and/or circuit boards, or, the game not already working properly before the new ROM is fitted. These are circumstances beyond our control.

NOTES: We will programme multiple EPROMS (10 max.) for one postage cost. Contact us for details.

Whilst this service is for UK buyers only, overseas buyers can contact us for further information.
