I just unpacked another box from 25-30 years ago and stumbled across this beautiful green Elegant Depression Glass Center-Handled Server.  The pattern is "Number 704" which is also known as Windows Border.  This pattern was manufactured by the Cambridge Glass Company and is considered Elegant Depression Glass.  Elegant Depression Glass was sold in better department stores and jewelry stores during the Depression years - it was not given away like other inexpensive and mass-produced Depression Glass.  I located this pattern in the book "Elegant Glassware of the Depression Era" by Cathy & Gene Florence (copyright 2009 - 13th edition).  According to the book, this pattern was manufactured around 1925 and came in several colors including green, which they called "emerald'.  It is a very pretty pattern and, hopefully, fun to collect.  This server or tray is round and measures about 10 1/4 inches across.  It stands about 4 1/2 inches tall.  This green or emerald Depression Glass tray (server) glows under a black light (ultraviolet light) and has never been reproduced.  The condition is EXCELLENT with no chips, no cracks, no discoloration at all.  There may be one or two tiny scratches.  Please see all of the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  You will be pleased with this lovely piece!.
