Solanum melongena 'Black Beauty' Eggplant Seeds
One of the hardiest varieties of Aubergine producing dark purple Eggplant fruit with exceptional flavour. It is an early and prolific cropper. Grow in a sunny, sheltered position, in rich, well-drained soil, with plenty of cow manure added to the soil.
How To Grow
Sow 5mm deep in a seed tray or punnet, in seed raising mix or or compost with cow manure added. Keep moist. Transfer to final position 50cm apart. Use a short stake in windy areas. You can sow them directly into your garden bed if preferred. This plant also grows well in pots.
Ensure the danger of frosts has passed and protect plants from wind.
Water well during dry periods.
