Low Cut Classic Briefs with Side Panels DIGITAL Sewing Pattern

£3.79

Hi,
Thank you for your interest in this pattern!

This is a listing for a DIGITAL pattern for Low Cut Classic Briefs with Side Panels.
It is suitable for standard A4 printers (one of the pieces needs to be joined after printing along clearly marked lines).
Once you make a purchase, you'll be sent 2 PDF files to your email address (I also have .svg files of the pattern should you require them) - 1 containing the pattern, 1 containing all instructions needed to make the briefs. PLEASE NOTE: This listing if for DIGITAL files only - there is no paper copy. When purchasing, please message a preferred EMAIL ADDRESS to which the files will be sent - thank you!

This pattern is aimed at beginners and uses basic sewing techniques. It's great if you're new to sewing stretch or underwear. It comes with a full set of instructions, but should you need any extra help during making, please feel free to message me at any point!

Suggested materials are cotton jersey for main fabric and power mesh for side panels, but you can equally use stretch lace or any other contrasting solid fabric of your choice.

Size chart is shown in the images.

Required materials to complete this pattern:
-> 0.35m of stretch fabric (i.e. cotton jersey, lycra jersey or stretch lace, with minimum 25% stretch – this means that 10 inches/cm of fabric must stretch to 12.5inches/cm at least)
-> 45cm x 15cm piece of material for side panels - either power mesh, stretch lace or stretch material contrasting the main fabric
-> 20cm x 20cm piece of cotton knit material for lining
-> 2m of picot edge elastic for sizes XS, S and M OR 2.4m for sizes L and XL
-> matching cotton thread (or a contrasting one for decorative finish if you're confident with your sewing)
-> decorative trim of your choice for the front (i.e. a satin bow, a button, a charm, etc. - you can skip this if you wish) + hand sewing needle to attach it

Required equipment:
-> Sewing machine with a 12/80 ball-point sewing needle (stretch needle) – this is very important as regular needle doesn't handle stretch fabrics well
-> Scissors
-> Measuring tape
-> Pins
-> Iron

Optional:
-> Overlocker
-> Rotary cutter (makes it a lot easier to cut delicate materials like mesh)
-> Weights for pattern cutting (to use instead of pins – helps to prevent distorting material under the pattern)

I also sell ready made sewing kits with all materials required to create this garment - please see my other items for sale.

Thank you :)
