A finely engraved and attractive 19th century view of “GARRET HOSTEL BRIDGE” Etching by Robert Farren (1832-1912). 

The figurative painter and engraver, Robert Farren (1832-1912), was born on 5 March 1832 in Cambridge. His work was exhibited in London between 1868 and 1880, particularly at the National Gallery and at Suffolk Street. Little is known about his life but he is associated in particular with his paintings of Cambridge, where he lived and worked until his move to Scarborough for health reasons in 1889."

Condition: Some light foxing, tanning at the edges, some chipping and small closed tears. Sale as is (check photos please). Unframed.
