Guadalupe cucumber - Meloncito 

Latin name: Melothria pendula 

Guadeloupe cucumber is native to the southeastern United States and the Caribbean. 
In July, the first green, decorative, delicious fruits appear on the plant. 
It continues to bloom and fruit well into autumn. 
Its fruits can be eaten raw or pickled like cucumbers. 
The ripe black fruits have a strong laxative effect.
