This is an antique Old Hall (Earthenware Co.) Transfer Ware, Blue Willow Pattern, 8” salad plate.  Has the Blue Willow Pattern~Blue and White Oriental (Chinoiserie) Scene on it.  The Old Hall England E’ware CR(L) logo is stamped on back.  Plate has an uneven edge to it, feels like by design, part of the making process.  Made in England.  Believe the plate to be circa 1880s, before the maker's mark was changed to include a castle.  This company was known as Old Hall Earthenware Co Ltd until 1886, when it changed names to Old Hall Porcelain Works Ltd. They included the word ENGLAND in their back marking before the Mckinley Tariff Act of 1891, which is fairly unusual.

Condition:  plate has two noticeable structural cracks going through plate from edge to center edge.  Back has lots of brown age spotting to it.  Has some grazing in the surface.
