Beautiful antique wooden Schoenhut Humpty Dumpty Circus toy, dated about 1900.

A splendid elephant with his antique blanket, with glass eyes (rare) and trumpet, tongue and dents. His lovely blanket and head coiffe are original.

Length approx 7.8", height approx 5.5"

The antique elephant is in good condition for age with minor age wear, there is an old crack and some slightly paint loss, his stringing is not as firm as it was 100 years before but if you put him carefully he can stand. I bought this beautiful early wooden elephant with glass eyes & blanket from a German collector who only collected early Schoenhut toys for his Humpty Dumpty circus. I guess he was made here in Germany but I don't know for sure if he was made in Germany or in the United States. Please notice here only the elephant is offered, the clown is not included.
