Good condition hardcover half bound in brown leather with red cloth boards. Gilt raised bands and lettering to spine. Leather rubbed at extremities with scuffing across surfaces, but exterior is unsoiled with straight spine and firm joints. Gilding remains bright and legible, and leather deep grained. Interior shows some writing to front flyleaf with library stamps naming the South African School of Mines Library. Pages quite clean otherwise, with only minimal toning and no stains, dog-ears, or tears. Hefty reference work for mining practices with fold out diagrams and full color United States map in tact.
