Antique 1930s Original Franz Stiasny Cast Bronze plaque Portrait Medal Of a German organ, violin player composer Johann Sebastian Bach. 

I am pleased to offer this Antique c. 1930s Original Franz Stiasny Cast Bronze Bach Portrait Medal! This beautiful small portrait medal has a raised side profile of the famous baroque composer, and is marked "F. Stiasny" at the left side as clearly seen at the photos.

Franz Stiasny (1881-1941) was a polish artist who produced a large series of portrait medals. His series focused around important figures in history, including writers, musicians and historic icons. Various medals were cast in Austria in the 1930s.

This antique portrait medal is in very good condition for its age, showing a dark patina. The medal comes with a beautiful antique oak frame behind glass.
