Australia Flag Embroidered Iron On Patch -DK072.

Instructions

Step 1: Turn iron to the hottest setting your fabric can tolerate. DO NOT USE STEAM DURING APPLICATION! Never exceed the temperature limitations of the material to which you are attaching the patch. If your material cannot support mid range temperatures (rayon setting is a rough guide) then you cannot safely apply a hot-melt patch and you will damage your material.

Step 2: Place your patch in the desired position and place a pressing cloth (such as a handkerchief, sheet or pillowcase fabric) over top.

Step 3: For thick patches with thick gems, press the iron straight down for 35-45 secs with heavy constant pressure. NO BACK AND FORTH as it promotes lifting. For thin or lightweight patches try 25-35 secs first and assess before adding more heat. If the patch is larger than the soleplate of the iron then repeat this procedure - moving the iron in steps across the entire patch.

Step 4: Turn the garment inside-out, reapply the pressing cloth and repeat step 2. Gently test the edges to ensure there is no lifting. Repeat steps 2-3 if necessary.

Step 5: Allow the patch to cool down.

Step 6: Consider edging with stitches for long term adhesion.

Note: Always wash clothes that carry these patches with a gentle cycle where possible. Hand washing is best. Always use cold or lukewarm temperatures at the most otherwise you risk softening the glue and causing the patch to lift.
