marker pen* (fine point). Due to the extrusion process used in the manufacture of
these labels, the actual width of the labels may vary.

*As with all permanent marker pens, they stay permanent, by soaking in to the surface they are written on.
Though they write very well on shiny, smooth, non-absorbent surfaces, like plastic, they cannot soak into the labels and therefore,
will not be permanent, so over time, the writing will weather and gradually wear off.
How long the marker pen takes to wear off, will depend on where the label is located and the conditions it is subjected to.
This will include, wind, rain, hot and cold conditions.
A good idea is to write on both sides, as the more sheltered side will last longer.
Any faded labels can re-used the following growing season.

If you prefer to write with your own pencil, rather than a marker pen, you may need to make sure that you are using the right type of pencil.
The graphite used in pencils, comes in different grades of hardness, hence the 'HB' numbered scale for pencils.
If your pencil is not suited to the labels, you will need try other pencils of a different grade.
