Photograph taken on December 14, 1949, at the foot of a Scandinavian Airlines System Douglas DC-4, for the visit of the Queen of Light 1949 in London.

The Queen of Light, Anne Marie Melander, arrived from Gothenburg, to bring good wishes to Londoners in general, and the Swedish colony in particular, for the Lucia Celebration.

A vintage gelatin silver print on a fiber paper.

Wet stamp and typewritten caption on the back.

Condition: good. Some handling marks in the top margin (cf. scans).

Size: 24x18 cm (9 1/2x7 in.)
