Latin name: Aquilegia vulgaris 

This perennial plant grows upright and reaches heights of 30-70 cm (12-28 in). 

Its flowers with their conspicuous spur appear from May to July in blue, blue-violet, white and pink colours. 

This species fits very well in natural gardens and adorns mixed herbaceous beds.
