Growing and cropping this seed at maturity will give you back up to 50 times the amount of seed you have planted in ideal conditions.
In ideal conditions this plant will grow over a meter high.
Conversley, just let your animal friends graze on it at any time or harvest and blend the wheatgrass for your own cosumption..
How To Grow
Soaking the seeds in lukewarm water for approximately 12 hours will help germination.
This seed will grow almost at any time of the year particularilly indoors but be aware of frost.
This seed can grow without a medium such as soil but for best results should be grown in a nitrogen rich soil liberally broadcast over the surface and covered with a thin layer of soil 2mm to 5mm deep.
Sprouts should appear between 7 to 21 days depending on the weather and should be placed in sunlight to promote growth.
When To Plant
Spring to Summer (after last frost) is best but can be grown all year long indoors.
Harvest
You can harvest (use) at any time. Let you pets feast on the young shoots or crop them for your own use. Leaving the stubble and roots in place will allow the plant to regrow so you can harvest again.
Alternatly you can allow the plant to grow untill it is at full seed and harvest new seeds to plant.
