Offered for sale is an unusual and useful item in beautiful pink Depression Glass:  this is a double spout batter or mixing bowl.  This 8 3/4 inch bowl stands 4 1/2 inches tall and is perfect and useful for your collection.  I identified this bowl in the great book "Kitchen Glassware of the Depression Years" by Cathy & Gene Florence (7th edition, copyright 2009) on page 109.  This bowl was manufactured by the D & B Company, about which I don't have any information.  It is certainly from the 1930's and apparently this bowl came is various sizes (7 1/2", 8 3/4", 9").  I am offering the 8 3/4 inch version.  There are two spouts for pouring or possibly for holding the egg beaters.  The Florences call the handle a "slick handle" but it has also been called a knob handle - it is an easy-to-grab handle.  The top of my handle says "Pat Applied For" or patent applied for.  The underside of the bowl has the D & B Co. lettering.  The condition, I would say, is GOOD with one tiny chip on the inner rim at the top - it is pictured in the photos.  The spouts are nice and clean and free of chips, as is the handle.  There is use on the inside - there are scratches and use marks - but the piece displays very nicely.  It is not MINT - it has been used before.  I have been dealing in Depression Glass for many years and I don't find this bowl very often - especially in good condition.  When found, usually, the handle or spouts can be flawed but not on this piece.  Please see all of the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  You will be pleased with this great and large piece!!
