Up for sale is a fabulous large lithograph by well known Polish artist Feliks Topolski (1907-1989) from his magnificent work "Topolski's Chronicle. This piece measures is large and measures approximately 19 x 23 inches and its subject matter is "Congo 2". It is a full sheet (i.e. not clipped into plates as these occasionally are). This one is Humber 1 from Volume X in 1962. There is color in the form of light blue UN helmets.

The piece is in pretty good condition and will look nice framed. Condition wise all of the chronicles came folded so there are the fold marks as it came. There are a decent number of dings around the edges and a few other fairly small creases / bends on the heavy paper. Not perfect but in generally nice shape with no writing, rips or tears.

A little more about the artist and Chronicles. they were published by the artist and lithographed in Great Britain. They were available by subscription only and went to museums, universities and collectors. They are a record of the artist detailing the current events of his time. In total the Chronicles include more than 2300 drawings some in color but mostly in ink / pen. These are rare pieces with print runs limited to at most 2000 or so and typically in the 1000 range. They are great pieces of art, reflections of the 20th century and becoming increasingly collectible.
