Large 1900 Grand Union Tea Co. Brooklyn, New York Calendar!

The Grand Union Tea Company was an innovative company that thrived from the late 19th Century through the mid 20th Century. Starting out 1872 as a single store in Scranton, Pennsylvania Brothers Frank and Charles Jones expanded the business rapidly branching out with new stores throughout eastern Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New York. By the time they built their headquarters and warehouse in Brooklyn, New York they had become known as the Grand Union Tea Company. By 1912 Grand Union had 200 store outlets operating through the country and supported 5,000 door to door salesmen delivering goods in horse drawn wagons.

This wonderful approximate 10¼" x 10¼" three fold 1900 calendar premium shows their Brooklyn headquarters, baking powder production, and and their roasting department. The calendar side is ornately decorated.
