About this service

• This service is applicable to the following 2006-2009 BMW models:  135i (E82 E88)   335i 335xi (E90 E91 E92)    535i 535xi (E60)   Z4 (E89)   , equipped with  N54 L6 3.0L Turbo engine.

• This service will upgrade MSD80 DME to MSD81 DME to your car.  MSD80 DMEs are prone to failure. They have the following issues, acused by MOSFET transistors: 2E30 2E31 2E32 2E33 2E34 2E35 - Injector, cylinder 1-6, short circuit or line brake;  30BA 30BB - DME internal fault; Injector driver circuit failure bank 1-3, bank 4-6;  29CD 29CE 29CF 29D0 29D1 29D2 - misfiring, cylinder 1-6;  29CC - Misfiring, several cylinders. By upgrading the MSD80 to MSD81 DME you will fix these issues and avoid them in the future.

• For this service you will have to:   1. Send in your original MSD80 DME,  replacement MSD81 DME, original CAS and KEY.   2. Please, add any notes when checking out.

• Notes about this service:   1. You can but do not have to update the DME after this service. There will be no issues in the future.   2. The DME will have correct VIN after this service. No issues passing emission test.   3. You will not have to do any special programming, code clearing after this service. Simply install back DME. Original keys will work. Car will start and run. 4. The injector coding will be programmed and correct.
