 Includes side routes from the road from Tyburn through High Wycombe, Thame, Oxford, Woodstock, Chipping Norton, Stratford, Evesham, Worcester, Burford, Cheltenham and Gloucester.  Offered with early hand colouring.

DATE PRINTED: 1806. 

SIZE: The printed area including titles is approximately 26 x 31 cm, 10.25 x 12.25 inches (medium) plus margins with a centre fold as issued. 

PROVENANCE:   An original antique, copper-engraved map published in 'Laurie and Whittle's New Traveller's Companion'.  Robert Laurie (ca. 1755-1836) and James Whittle (1757-1818) formed their Fleet Street, London-based firm upon the 1794 death of their employer Robert Sayer, himself one of the dominant print and mapmakers of the last half of the 18th century.

TYPE: Antique copper plate engraving printed on paper.

VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse which is blank.

CONDITION: Good. Please check the scan for any blemishes prior to making your purchase. Virtually all antiquarian maps and prints are subject to some normal aging due to use and time which is not significant unless otherwise stated. Faint stain on the right. Short split on edge of fold without loss.
